"Becoming Her" documentary by Dr. Arshley Emile premiered on February 22nd at Plaza Theatre + February 29th at the 6th Annual FILMER Festival.
Dr. Emile follows NBAF Executive Director, Stephanie Owens, her leadership, and the impact the National Black Arts Festival has on Atlanta. Through touching childhood memories, and heartfelt stories from NBAF staff and special guests, "Becoming Her" paints a story of triumph, passion, and community through the arts.
The film was made possible by a grant from South Fulton Arts.
