ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

NBAF presents the Thriving Together Atlanta Community Art and Wellness Festival, a daylong gathering that brings art, wellness, and community connection to the forefront. As part of the broader Thriving Together Atlanta public art initiative which is dedicated to addressing racial equity in health, this free festival is designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit. The Thriving Together Atlanta Festival is made possible through funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Additional support has been provided by South Arts and The Cousins Foundation.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Application Deadline: Monday, September 15, 2025. Once approved, Participants must submit payment by Monday, September 15, 2025 or their space will be released. 

Anticipated Attendance: 3000 attendees

Participant Fee: $275. The fee covers the cost of (1) 10’ X 10’ tent, (1) table, (2) chairs and access to electricity. Participants must supply tent lights, extension cords, power strips, and display items. Multiple businesses are not allowed to share space. If a larger footprint is desired, please let us know.

Site Specifications: Once Participants have been confirmed, additional information regarding logistics and load in/out protocols will be provided. 

Vendor Product Guidelines: Vendors must sell handmade, one-of-a-kind arts and crafts items. No mass-produced merchandise, sunglasses, bath & body products, or other non-arts or craft-related items are allowed. All Vendors MUST submit four (4) images of materials and setup along with this application. 

Identification Signs: Signage of professional nature with the business name may be used, but must be reviewed and approved by the Marketplace Coordinator. 

Liability: Each Participant exhibits all works at his or her own risk. If insurance is desired, it must be arranged and purchased by the Participant. Neither the National Black Arts Festival nor Historic Fourth Ward Park assumes any liability for loss, damage, or theft of work or display materials. 

Participant Responsibilities: 

  • Each Participant must be present with his/her items during the Marketplace hours. 
  • Each Participant is responsible for providing relief personnel to maintain the booth. 
  • No Participant may sublet to another Participant. 
  • Please limit sale and/or distribution items to what has been represented in the submitted photographs; the Participant Marketplace Coordinator must approve exceptions PRIOR to inclusion. 
  • Participants must have their displays open and ready for the public at the beginning of designated opening hours and remain open through the designated closing times.  

Penalties: NBAF reserves the right to ask for the removal of any items or displays not representative of the photographs submitted during the application process; to remove any objects in violation of the rules and regulations listed herein; and to prohibit any Participant from opening his/her booth late. Furthermore, NBAF reserves the right to bar any Participant from participating in the Market for NON-COMPLIANCE. Such an occurrence will result in loss of all fees, in addition to removal from the premises.
