If you were one of the hundreds of thousands of culturally enriched Festival attendees last year, you may already know that we are one of the largest living treasuries of art and culture of the African Diaspora--dance, theatre, music, film, visual arts and the humanities--in the country.
We are dedicated to celebrating and exploring the influence of the rich and unique heritage of the peoples of the African Diaspora.
By providing an artistic and cultural forum for artists like Wynton Marsalis, the Neville Family, Irma Thomas, Maya Angelou, Ruby Dee, Nikki Giovanni, and Sam Gilliam and many emerging and next generation artists, the festival celebrates and nurtures this precious cultural heritage for our children and our children’s children.
Won’t you please take a moment, and join us in safeguarding this precious cultural heritage. We are a non-profit organization, and count on people like you for support.
