August 15 – September 15
September 30 | Winners Announced Online
For 25 years the National Black Arts Festival has presented artists from Africa and the African Diaspora, worked with international curators and producers and traveled groups around the world. The 25 Most Provocative Artists In the African Diaspora program continues to support NBAF’s desire to expose audiences to artists from the Diaspora. Who are the artists we should be paying attention to and supporting as a global community? What artists are creating thought provoking work that is either on the edge or that just makes us uncomfortable?  Nominate an artist in music, theater, dance, film, visual art and literature. Self nominations are allowed.
