Year Round Internships
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
NBAF offers year-round paid and unpaid internships each year, providing a unique experience for young people interested in the “behind the scenes” operation of an arts organization.
Internships are offered in the following departments at NBAF:

• Festival Management
• Finance
• Marketing
• New Technologies
• Sponsorship
Internships are coordinated through the Education and Public Programs department, while supervision of the activities of each intern is managed within his or her particular department. The Education and Public Programs staff will be available to help with any issues that might arise during the course of the internship.
WHO MAY APPLY
• High school seniors who have been accepted to college and undergraduate students with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply for the NBAF Internship experience.
• To increase diversity in the arts, NBAF seeks diversity in its intern staff and provides equal opportunity to all of its applicants.
ACADEMIC CREDIT
Interns seeking academic credit for their experience at NBAF are responsible for making all arrangements with their institutions prior to their arrival.
HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION
Housing is the responsibility of the student, although guidance in this matter is available. NBAF Interns are required to have a reliable mode of transportation; the NBAF offices are accessible by public transit (i.e. MARTA).
HOW TO APPLY
Applications (click here to download) must be submitted by:
• September 21 for Fall internships
• January 14 for Spring internships
To be considered for this unique experience, students with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, may apply by submitting the following items:
• A completed application
• A letter of personal interest
• A résumé
• A current official transcript
• One letter of recommendation from a faculty member

YOUTH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
NBAF offers year-round youth leadership opportunities each year, providing a unique experience for young people interested in the arts. The Youth Leadership Program is coordinated and supervised through the Education and Public Programs department of the Festival.
WHO MAY APPLY
• 8th graders who are entering high school and high school students who have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply for this experience.
• To increase diversity in the arts, NBAF seeks diversity in its Youth Leaders and provides equal opportunity to all of its applicants.
COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
Youth Leaders seeking community service hours for their experience at NBAF are responsible for making all arrangements with their institutions and providing our offices with any required forms.
TRANSPORTATION
NBAF Youth Leaders are required to have a reliable mode of transportation for training and program participation; the NBAF offices are accessible by public transit (i.e. MARTA).
