NBAF’S New Visual Identity
As we re-imagine our role as one of the nation’s pre-eminent presenters of the arts and culture of the African Diaspora, we are pleased to launch our new visual identity. Our new look and feel, is part of a multi-year rebranding campaign launched this spring, and includes our new logo and fresh graphics, as well as an “extreme makeover” of our website designed by award-winning, Atlanta-based visual artist Fahamu Pecou and Red Creative.
In addition to his work on NBAF.org , Fahamu Pecou designed the new logo for the festival as well. It features a symbol based on two West African Adinkra symbols: the “sankofa” and the “Adinkrahene”, click here to learn more about the symbol.
Our new visual identity includes bold fresh graphic design elements based upon design elements from our 2010 brochure designed by Matt Lee of Landsberg Designs. The new look incorporates striking black and white images with fresh bold color blocks, clean font style and generous use of white space. The look and feel is continued in our advertisments and collateral materials designed by TLDCO.
We want to know what you think about our new logo and the newly designed website, and encourage you to post your comments here.
