Thank YOU!

We have put another National Black Arts Festival to bed and it was good.  It takes so many good people to make a festival happen and we want to say we THANK YOU.  We are so appreciative.  To our Volunteers, Staff and Consultants, Production Crew, Educators, Board of Directors and of course the Artists — our hats are off to you.  Thank you to our partners who support us through in-kind services and other types of support.  To our audiences — Thank You for trusting us and the quality of the work we do.  We recognize it in your presence, in your applause and in your membership support.

Lots of highlights will be coming your way over the next week so log-in to nbaf.org for updates and new features.  We are excited about the opportunities we have with the website.  Our interaction with one another no longer ends with the ending of the summer festival.  We want to introduce you to artists and their work while also continuing very important conversations about the culture and where it’s going.  We look forward to taking this journey with you.

Peace -Leatrice

    Ms. Leatrice,
The NBAF was a unique experience for me. Thanks to the staff and a special daughter, I was able to participate in many facets of ” the festival.” I truly, truly enjoyed the Curtis Mayfield tribute. It took me down memory lane. The sad truth about his music is – it is more relevant today than in the past.
The talent was wonderful !!! Everyone put their soul in the performances and captured the audience. I was amazed and excited watching the audience’s response to the music. NBAF’s staff knows how to get it done. I noticed the staff’s customer service skills. They were excellent! They spoke to everyone and smiled at everyone. Thanks April for your gentle care.
Leatrice, you made the gentleman that told you he played in the movie Car Wash feel as though the movie was a current blockbuster. Thanks to all of you for a job WELL DONE!

    Hi,
I’d love to see the schedule and programing for the Summer Festival. You link under the “schedule” button does not link to anything. How can I find out more about what goes on during the National Black Arts Festival. Is this a music only festival?
